Academic Pentathlon
Five subjects, one team — the Academic Pentathlon introduces younger students to the joy and challenge of academic team competition at the regional and national levels.
Where Young Scholars Begin
The Academic Pentathlon gives 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students their first experience with organized academic team competition. Through five subject areas, students develop research skills, test-taking strategies, and the confidence that comes from competing as part of a team.
Many of Texas's top Decathlon competitors began their journey in the Pentathlon, making it an important pipeline for developing future academic champions.
