Academic Excellence for Freshmen & Sophomores

The Academic Octathlon is designed specifically for high school freshmen and sophomores who are eager to demonstrate academic achievement in a team competition setting. Competing in eight subject areas, the Octathlon mirrors the Decathlon in structure while providing an entry point to academic competition.

Students who participate in the Octathlon build the study skills, teamwork, and competitive experience that prepares them for Academic Decathlon as upperclassmen.
