Scholarships
Texas Academic Decathlon awards over $150,000 in scholarships each year at the State competition.
Individual Scholarships
The top 5 individual scorers at the State competition receive scholarship awards.
Team Scholarships
The top 3 teams at each State competition venue (Large, Medium, and Small school divisions) receive scholarship awards.
How Scholarships Are Distributed & Paid
Texas Academic Decathlon awards over $150,000 annually, divided equally among large, medium, and small schools as well as the three academic divisions. Funds may be sent directly to the student's university or college, or the student may receive the funds themselves. Earned scholarships are paid in $1,000 installments per semester as long as the student maintains full-time enrollment.
Enrollment Verification
All competitors must have their enrollment status verified by their school prior to competition to confirm eligibility.

Enrollment Verification Form
Coaches submit a verification form for each competitor confirming current enrollment and academic standing. This form must be completed prior to each level of competition — regional, state, and national, if applicable. Program-specific verification forms are available on each event's Forms & Documents tab, and your region coordinator can help resolve any enrollment discrepancies before the deadline.
